Hundreds of lakes to swim in, forests to walk in. The Schaalsee Natural Heritage. And friendly villages within easy distance of the endless sandy beaches of the Baltic. Our main centres, Moelln and Ratzeburg, are both historic market towns. Nearby Luebeck is a a UNESCO World Heritage city. Not to mention the many attractions within easy reach, ranging from historic sights to the cities of Hamburg, Kiel, Schwerin and - last but not least - Berlin. All are within driving distance. An ideal family holiday summer destination - always warm, never too hot.
